TEOTIHUACAN

Research has been conducted at this famous archaeological site by both Dr. Rebecca Storey and Dr. Randolph Widmer. Their research focused on one of the 2000 apartment compounds in the ancient city of Teotihuacan. A 500 by 500 meter grid system was used to map the site and all of the apartment compounds it contained. This residential compound is is located in grid unit South 3, West 1, and was the 33 site discovered in the grid unit, hence its designation S3W1:33. This compound is located in the Tlajinga barrio of the ancient city and therefore we refer to this site as Tlajinga 33. Click on the highlighted grid unit S3W1 or on its darkened location on the map to see a detailed view of this area..
